I am really going to miss your links. The video of the planned celebration in Midland is really special. How many people outside of Midland or the Dose will ever see it?

I was wondering as I watched it, what the voting record of Midland precincts was for GWB, considering that it must have been about 80-20 pro Bush. Then I read the one comment posted below the video and it was a snarky anti-Bush comment. Oh well, let us hope that the poster is a minority opinion in Midland.

What stamina the Bushes have to be able to get through all the drama in DC and then be up for a party in Midland!

Negative PS: I bet the Clintons had no place to go after W’s inauguration. That is why they hung around Andrews ‘celebrating’ and refusing to get out of town on Jan 20, 2001.

Mrs. Bush has impeccable taste! I love the colors, the feeling you get when you look at the plates, and smiled when I saw the pearlized handles on the knives. My Mom bought that look for our very expensive cocktail knives--all we could afford at the time, when I was growing up. Mom had higher ups from my Dad's work over to the house for dinner parties a lot. (She would make all her clothing from VOGUE patterns, and was VERY creative and had great taste in decorating---all by herself; and all the higher ups wives did was ask her how she could do all this on a "salesman's" salary. Too much -

...okay back to the WH patterns... I don't like food with butter and dragon flies, but other than that...love the leaves and the colors on the other plates! --just a personal thing.

I don't have the time, but you should see the visual in my mind for the plates that Michelle will be picking out...if they are anything like the Black Widow Spider pattern on her last ON-SOM..blah, Lord help us! ha ha ha

The Exit Interview

Entering the West Wing reception area for my last interview with President George W. Bush is a surreal experience. There is no one there, other than two Secret Service agents, a White House police officer and a receptionist. The place used to teem with people eager for a moment with the commander in chief, now people speak in hushed tones. A small TV set in the coatroom is tuned to Fox News. That will soon change.
