Dearest Liz, the way you posted that made it seem YOU told Tom: “By populating the United States with millions of Hispanics tied economically, politically and linguistically to Mexico, we are able to exert enormous influence and pressure on US policy and its dealings with Mexico.”

“The Mexican government has been patient long enough. We will undermine your nation and your national security unless you start shoveling billions our way.”

But I know better than that. I also know that Mexico would have no pull whatsoever on this planet without the defense and preferred trade status the U.S. grants it. One thing we can’t provide Mexico is arrogance, hubris and corruption.

We should cut ALL ties with the successive preposterous governments that can’t resist the lures and threats of its criminal class until it decides to be a nation or a narcocracy. In fact, we should go proactive like Israel does with terrorist scum: If there’s a threat to our nation and the host nation refuses to deal with the problem our sovereign interests extend beyond political borders. Take it up with the U.N. or pound sand.
