My second thought, after wondering about financial losses, was to wonder about the Fitzgerald investigation.

You don’t suppose he might have been implicated?

"to wonder about the Fitzgerald investigation."

Ohhhh, nice catch. I never thought of that, I need more tinfoil now but that has a nice "feel" to it.

From a quick google:

Sheldon Good & Co. is conducting two outcry auctions to dispose of 36 properties in the Northeast and Illinois. On May 19, the Chicago auction firm will sell 22 properties in New York and New Jersey, including apartment buildings, industrial properties and raw land. Later in the month, the firm will sell two pools made up of 14 Chicago-area apartment buildings that are subsidized by HUD. For more information ...

Well, he was 'in the business'. . .and with many 'close Associates' no doubt. . .

(highbeam.com and have to pay for the rest of the story. . .)
