I disagree. Buriss’ supporters were relying on an old case involving a CONGRESSMAN (Adam Clayton Powell), not a Senator, and with a very different fact pattern. The ‘rat leadership (and Obama) were all behind keeping Burris out, as well he should be kept out, considering the scoundrel—and unconvicted criminal—who appointed him in the first place. Reid et al. could easily have waited at least until this case went to federal court, and, by then, Blago would have been out of office, and Pat Quinn could have appointed another dem, or maybe reappointed Burris, and it would all be “kosher.” This is good for us conservatives, true, as the liberal dems who control the Senate majority are revealed as the p*ssy-whips they, in fact, are. It’s a bad day for representative government and the rule of law though. I guess you could say it’s a wash.
