I guess I am out of the loop, didn’t know Burris was being refused because of his race, but because he was appointed by a corrupt Gov, who was told not to appoint anyone, because he tried to auction off the senate seat to the highest bidder.
And this Democrat demonstrates how to win against them. Burris is fighting for it and will win. Our Republicans give up about half way through which is why they continually lose. They should take notice.

Catch the retired judge on Fox News for the minimal amount of certification actually required. Basically if the replacement senator is alive, old enough and from Illinois, that meets the certification.

I still think that the circumstances of which Burris is coming to the Senate are contemptable, and feel the same way about Al Franken if he she try to take a seat. Having Burris and Franken in the Senate only lowers the Senate’s respect to a New low, so low that being a Senator is not an honor anymore, just a big fat Joke.
As a Republican, I take full blame for this, and also for Bill Clinton lowering his drawers for Monica in the Oval Office.. it is all an evil plot by Republicans of which I am a part of.
