There’s always something missing in stories about the Palin family. In this case, having Levi working out in the oil fields doesn’t fit with the damage control Sarah is trying to implement re her family’s reputation for family values. Fact is, Bristol got pregnant by a high school drop-out, and was working out in the oil fields — not a “day job”. Notice that Sarah held a press conference a few days ago to protest the characterization of Levi as a “drop-out” even though that’s exactly what he was (apparently they’ve recently shoved him into community college). Sarah has also been pushing the image of Bristol and Levi as a beautiful young couple, deeply in love, and eagerly welcoming a baby into their beautiful little family. Having drop-out/accidental father Levi off in the oil fields full time, while Bristol stays home as the unwed, unemployed, teenage mother she is, just doesn’t make for the right image.
