okay thanks. -- and a shock.
Can't see a snake eater losing a Bar Fight to two guys.
BUT if he was 37, maybe a reserve who got called up?

Some folks around here just think it cool to hate Jimmy Buffet. There seems to be a certain amount of snobbery around any musician or group that are too popular with "the masses," unless they are "counter-culture" like the Grateful Dead.
You must conform...to non-conformity.

Okay, I’m going to take your post full circle. I’ve had beers with Wade Boggs in Key West at Sloppy Joe’s. Can’t remember if the band played any Jimmy Buffet.

Hey, at least it wasn’t Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy”, there could have been a killin’ spree...

I'd be willing to fight over Pachelbel's Canon in D. It's the most overplayed, overused piece of music in the world, and it wasn't that great a piece in the first place. Whenever a Yuppie wants to feel cultured, they just slap on Pachelbel and think, "Ooh, I'm listenin' to classical music". Barf.

Some guys in my brigade made that song.

There are many here on FR that claim to be conservatives, who simply are not. They are radicals in their own minds, hate any body and everything. They cannot stand when someone disagrees with them or have a different opinion. I have had several exchanges with those who know it all and cannot tolerate differing opinions.

I wasn't intending to show any musical preference. Just stating that Buffet is hardly Wagner when it comes to inspiring aggression. Checked your homepage and I will agree that a good single malt while enjoying the Brandenburg Concerto is just about an ideal way to kick back. Yoko Ono would push me to homicide.

We're reading off the same sheet of music, my FRiend.
PS - I'll always love the Brandenbergs, but lately Bach's French Suites haven been topping my personal charts. Happily, one never tires of Bach. Das ist nicht ein Bach, das ist ein Meer, as Beethoven said...

I have no idea what that was all about, but it was hysterical.

Anybody getting into a fight over Jimmy Buffet has completely missed the point. JB is for RELAXING, mellow out, have another drink.

Yacht Rock was an online video series depiciting how some songs from the “smooth” period were created. Of course it’s all made up. Here’s a full description;

Here’s a list of links to the previous 10 episodes. The first 4 or 5 are great ( some just as good or better than the one you saw ), the later ones not so much but still have their moments. Drew Carey has a quick apperance in one;
