How the heck am I gonna be able to figure out the proper sales tax for a city on the other side of the country ? States have a sales tax, but counties also add to this sales tax and some cities even add a sales tax. Then I have to file the sales tax every quarter for every state. Listing the different sales tax proportions for each county and city within the state. This would require that I look up each city to see what county that city is located within. Would be easier to just deny sales to those sales tax states that rarely purchase my products. Just sell to certain states.

Worse: you'll have to look up each address to see whether it is within city or county boundaries, as many addresses have city names as postal codes, but are not within actual legal city boundaries. Good luck with that.
