My brother-in-law was flying to his sister’s (and my wife’s sister’s) wedding in Seattle from Newark Airport I think. This was long before 9-11. He was afraid to fly-understatement. His two brothers and I got him liquored up and dragged him on the air plane. As the plane began to take off, it was a little bumpy. My brother-in-law began to yell...;Oh my God this is an L10-11, we are going to crash (one had gone down about a week before). Everyone on the plane became very nervous. A woman began to cry. My brother-in-law-now stone cold sober alternately barfed and yelled for about 15 minutes. Finally, out came a guy dressed in a pilot’s uniform, he gave my brother-in-law two choices...shut up or I’ll gag you. It was so embarrassing. I do believe he was banned from this airline for several years-not that he ever flies anyway. I can only imagine what would have happened if this had occurred after 9-11.
