...Bathing on Aashura
RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam said, Whoever takes a bath (performs Ghusl) on the day of Aashura will be saved from all illnesses except death.
Would that Aashura came more than once a year in that case.
...It rained for the first time. ...
This is interesting. Some say that the rainbow seen by Noah after the great flood was significant because they had never seen one before. Meaning, it had never rained before.
I've read theories that said the Earth had no water vapor in the air and water was all underground and some cataclysmic event released the water and caused the Great Flood of the Bible.
re-read Genesis 6
The fountains of the deep were opened up, meaning subterranean water
but it also rained, too
some now believe that the watervapor in the air may have been immense, it would have provided a covering from all cosmic radiation and also keep heat within
burn victims heal better in high pressure chambers, right? If we had a great vapor canoppy, we would have had a higher atmospheric pressure, greater heat, or consistent heat instead of varying areas of heat and cold
higher air pressure means more oxygen, constant heat means more growing seasons, all that with a vapor canopy that shielded out cosmic rays, that helps explain the long lifetimes of humans before the flood, vs the immediate drop in life expectancy from 500 years to 120, then 80
5 And every plant of the field before it sprung up in the earth, and every herb of the ground before it grew: for the Lord God had not rained upon the earth; and there was not a man to till the earth.
6 But a spring rose out of the earth, watering all the surface of the earth.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul.
From the Book Of Genesis, Chapter 8, Verse 2
2 The fountains also of the deep, and the flood gates of heaven were shut up, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
Genesis 2:4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens- 5 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth [b] and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth [c] and there was no man to work the ground, 6 but streams [d] came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground- 7 the LORD God formed the man [e] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
