Funny Business in Minnesota In which every dubious ruling seems to help Al Franken. Strange things keep happening in Minnesota, where the disputed recount in the Senate race between Norm Coleman and Al Franken may be nearing a dubious outcome. Thanks to the machinations of Democratic Secretary of State Mark Ritchie and a meek state Canvassing Board, Mr. Franken may emerge as an illegitimate victor. Mr. Franken started the recount 215 votes behind Senator Coleman, but he now claims a 225-vote lead and suddenly the man who was insisting on "counting every vote" wants to shut the process down. He's getting help from Mr. Ritchie and his four fellow Canvassing Board members, who have delivered inconsistent rulings and are ignoring glaring problems with the tallies. Under Minnesota law, election officials are required to make a duplicate ballot if the original is damaged during Election Night counting. Officials are supposed to mark these as "duplicate" and segregate the original ballots. But it appears some officials may have failed to mark ballots as duplicates, which are now being counted in addition to the originals. This helps explain why more than 25 precincts now have more ballots than voters who signed in to vote. By some estimates this double counting has yielded Mr. Franken an additional 80 to 100 votes. This disenfranchises Minnesotans whose vote counted only once. And one Canvassing Board member, State Supreme Court Justice G. Barry Anderson, has acknowledged that "very likely there was a double counting." Yet the board insists that it lacks the authority to question local officials and it is merely adding the inflated numbers to the totals.

Every man for himself.

Those four words summarize America as we begin 2009.

It is being confirmed every day with decent Americans buying every gun and box of ammunition they can lay hands upon.

We can trust now only in one thing ....

when you pull the trigger, a good quality firearm delivers the bullet exactly where you want it to go if you are a careful marksman.

Sorry to break it to you, but “America” is dead and gone. What’s left is a land mass populated by cretins and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors and “redistribute” it to them. It is not an America worth defending anymore.

Whatever. I just live here.

Every man for himself.

I couldn't sleep so I came here to my refuge but these are the saddest words I've read in some time.

I was born in Iran but my love for this land is deep in my veins and I am an American and I never want to imagine an America you describe.

I truly believe this country is great for a purpose. Call me Polyannish and what I say cliche but I still believe there is a destiny and a hope. Good days and bad days come and go yet this hope MUST lead and America's purpose must be fulfilled even if every last one of her lamentable cretins has to be pulled by their hair to get there!

Two years? If Franken is declared the winner, he’s there for SIX (6) long years.

...”A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague.”...Cicero”...

Rabble...Thank you for this quote. It frighteningly and accurately describes the political situation in the US today. Silence from the masses has allowed this to happen in the face of years of the most ridiculous and insane attacks on the values which built the freedom enabling us to help even our poor like kings compared to much of the rest of the world. Sadly, the corrupt go crazy when many people enjoy prosperity. They want to con and thieve that surplus into their own hands..They want POWER over the treasure chest. Well, they have it now and I predict that much of our nation will fall silent, trying to ignore the obvious until the day when they have to stand and fight. God help the next generation. We truly are a nation in decline.

Minnesotans should demand a runoff election. This one is hopelessly bolloxed and too close. No matter who is declared the winner of the Nov. 4 election, he will be forever considered illegitimate. Best of all, Coleman would have the advantage in a runoff, because Franken was the beneficiary of Obama’s coattails in the Nov. 4 election. I predict most Democrats would stay home in a runoff.

That's all they do. It's their political purpose. Both parties have been bought out.

It's a one card monte, with a punch drunk public.

Sarah is a different story. Mc Lame thought he was getting the worst possible VP pick. Shows how little he actually knows!

Y'all need to realize that Minnesota is a leftist state. It is completely enthralled with the concept of socialism. I deal with courts in all fifty states, and let me tell you: Minnesota has some of the worst justices in America. They are, for the most part, hard-left ideologues who have utter contempt for the idea of a constitutional republic.

“My faith in my fellow Americans has come to an all-time low.”

Agreed. We have, indeed, become a nation of sheep. I told me wife the other day that I am through with being a nice guy. I have, throughout my life (and I’m in my late 50s) always been one to go to the aid and assistance of someone who was in trouble, such as being broken down on the side of the road, or injured, or getting the shaft. As I told my wife, if I know someone to be a liberal, and that person is in trouble, I will not do anything to help them. I will just keep walking by. They wish ill on me an mine and all we hold dear, so screw them.

“Is anyone going to stop these guys?”

Stalin was right: He who votes determines nothing. He who counts the votes determines everything. We wilol never again have a free and fair election in the United States until the left has been destroyed. And the fight is about to be joined.

“But I smell nothing but another GOP rollover here. Pathetic.”

I’ve given up on the Republican Party. I’m either going Independent or joining a true CONSERVATIVE party whose allegiance is to the Constiution and liberty.

Re: Your Post#10

Sadly, regretably, what you say has much truth in it. So, the big question for those of us who will not accept what America has become, and want it to return to what it once was, is how far will we go and how much will we do to bring about that return? Therein lies the answer to the future of America.

“What these libpukes don’t understand is that valid elections are the sole alternative to politics through violence. By subverting the electoral process, they will force the violent alternative. And gee, who is going to win that fight, the feminized leftist ‘male’? I don’t think so...”

That’s a fact.

Re: Your Post #15

I disagree with your conclusion as it is too deliberate. While I agree with you that many in law enforcement have no allegiance to nor appreciation of the Constitution, and many are, indeed, thugs who should be in jail themselves, they are not unbeatable. An enraged citizenry is a fearful antagonist, and an enraged and armed and DETERMINED citizenry would be a tidal wave against the bamboo sticks of a tyrannical government. Why do you think the left is so determined to disarm the American people? Lenin, Hitler, Castro, and virtually every other tyrant in history subscribed to the idea that the people had to be disarmed ASAP. The left in America doesn’t give a sh!t about reducing crime, or protecting “the children.” If they did care about that they would insist every law-abiding adult American citizen possess a firearm. But, they demand just the opposite. Why? Because they know they have to disarm the American people in order to ensure the contiuance of and growth of their noxious and loathesome ideology of total and unchallenged control. An armed man is a citizen, an unarmed man is, at best, a subject, but more likely, a slave.

I don’t think even f.Christian could follow f.Christian. A truly baffling poster!

Once again Joseph Stalin has been proven correct. “Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.”

I’ve advocated before that one of the first things conservative Republicans need to do is run for a seat on their local election commission. It doesn’t matter who our nominees for state and national office are if elections are being derailed at the precint and county level. Until we restore the integrity of the election process, everything else is moot.

These people who are stealing the election in Minnesota are criminals. Charges should be brought against them.

Monnesotan’s should not rest until these people are incarcerated.

Democrat voting thefts are shaking the very foundation of America.
