Actually, Obama probably encouraged Israel to move before he takes office, so that by the time he is sworn in the offensive will have run its course and he can call for a pullback or truce. It makes everyone happy: Bush gets to stand by an ally, the Israelis get to go after an enemy, and Obama gets to come in on a white horse after both sides have spent themselves and be the peacemaker. From his perspective it is better for the offensive to come sooner rather than later.

Israel taking advice from Obama...........that's so ludicrous in so many ways, I can't even find the words...
