It has to be said that some of those clubs make a heck of a loud "thwock!" noise, I'd imagine they would cause hearing damage after a while.

Golfers' hearing at risk from 'sonic boom' created by new clubs, doctors claim.

I heard a once.

As one ages, one’s hearing deteriorates. After decades of marriage I recognize that reality as merciful.

“thwock!” is the sound of golf, “ping!” is the sound of pasture pansies.

Could it be the age of the golfer and not the club?

I heard a boom alright and I told that lady that people who live on golf courses should use their own homeowners insurance.

Well come to think of it I’ve been playing golf all my life and have been playing with the new thin walled drivers for some time now. I’m hard of hearing according to my wife. Any hungry lawyers out there want to take my case?

Sonic boom? Didn’t realize those balls travelled so fast.

I have to agree with this study. I have stood next to people using certain drivers at the range and the noise the clubs make definitely are not good for my ears.

The “snap” from a bullwhip is a mini sonic boom as well. Golfers are such pansies.

They forgot to mention the dangers of second-hand sonic golf club boom.

That is a hidden danger and needs to be addressed.

I have no idea who appears dumber. Is it the “doctors” who make these stupid statements or the media who in lock step report them as truth? Never mind your feedback. I already know. It is those who claim to know the truth but who couldn’t find their own rectums in the dark.

WTF? If this is causing a problem why doesn’t some brilliant golfer or man of medicine prescribe earplugs?
