Carrying signs and hoisting Palestinian flags high in the air, about 200 people gathered outside City Hall yesterday to protest Israel's attacks on Gaza.
Organized by the Philadelphia branch of the International Action Center, the rally was one of many demonstrations held across the country and the world yesterday to condemn Israel's air strikes.

The first two commentators must be FReepers...
Sometimes WE are the ONLY ones that make sense these days...
"The tax money that we pay, to think that it is used that way is a great shame," said Ali Shaath, 25.
Shaath immigrated to Philadelphia from Gaza six years ago to run a flooring business. The events of the past week have made it difficult to be away, he said. "I have family. I wish I could be there," Shaath said.
Or the last one?
Bert Strieb, 70, a semiretired professor at La Salle University, said America needed to exert some financial muscle over Israel. "As long as Israel has the United States' backing, they have no reason to back down," he said.
IMO, Hamas blew it. Israel has every right to defend herself.
Isn't he darling? A future terrorist, almost all grown up.
Why do these useful idiots think it is wrong for Israel to defend itself, is very puzzling.
Why is this guy in America? Why is he walking the streets of Philly? Hamas is a Foreign Terrorist Organization in the U.S. and also in Canada, the EU, Japan, Australia, and the UK.
No, the people who left comments about the story.

Israel has every right to defend itself. I fully support what they are doing. Hamas is another Arab terrorist organization that needs to be put down like a rabid dog

just out of curiosity - where are all these protesters when the savages suicide-bomb a pizza joint in Israel?
they recieved their marching orders from the Lib MSM and that is all they know.
Funny thing is that the Jewish community keeps voting dimocrat and supporting them.
Thank you for the clarification! :)
I don’t see any signs demanding that Hamas stop rocketing Israeli towns and civilians.
That was the policy publicly announced by Hamas and carried out immediately after breaking their hudna (cease fire).
And why are those Palis in America?
Let’s ship the protesters off to a rocket impact area in the South Israel, chain them in an open field....and wait.
Philadelphia is CRAZY COUNTRY. Never, in the history of the world, have so may crazy people been amassed in one place.
Some minds are easily persuaded i suppose.
Lotsa targets—right here at home, too.
Lock and load, boys and girls.
Founded in 1991 by Ramsey Clark and staffed by members of the Marxist-Leninist
Workers World Party, the International Action Center (IAC)—
So a bunch of Commies come out in support of the Hamas terrorist.
Gee I am shocked...........
One of these may very well have been his father - what has ever changed - and why are people as dumb as rocks in America?

Thanks; we suspected as much.
Those comments are not what I was referring to...I believe the comments section scrolls a little funny...At the time I saw the comments I mentioned, they might have become buried or removed by the website...
The Hamas Palestinians are reaping what they’ve sewn for years of stupid moves on their part...
Granted, I believe the Israeli govt. has done a lot to irritate the situation as well...The everyday Israeli and Palestinians are not as contentious as one would be led to believe, but during times like this, those very people do tend to give each other some space to work things out, till the time comes that the forces arrayed against each other get the kinks out and settle down...
The common knowledge is that this is never, ever going to get ironed out completely...No matter how sweet the deal is...
BTW, if you are wondering how I came up with my conclusion, I happen to work directly with a hodgepodge of individuals whose opinion I hold in high regard...And when we get to talking, you’d think I would be the one getting beat up...nahhh...
That group (all over here on work visas) is comprised of an Israeli, a Palestinian Christian, Iranian, and a couple of Indians (one a Sihk, and the other a Hindu)
You can imagine what my Monday morning os going to be like...
Organized by the Philadelphia branch of the International Action CenterThe IAC is another Communist group.
They are openly subversive and proud about it.
