CHICAGO (AP) — Senate appointee Roland Burris has plans to speak before ministers and supporters before he departs for Washington.
Embattled Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich appointed Burris to Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat last week, but Senate Democratic leaders say they'll reject any appointee named by Blagojevich.
Burris says he will attend a Sunday evening prayer vigil at a church on Chicago's South Side before addressing his supporters. The group is coordinated by U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush.
Burris also is scheduled to appear Sunday morning on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."

Pretty amazing that its not clear whether this guy can be barred by that red MF Reid or not.

That (bleeping) psycho has been a cancer on IL since he was sworn in about six (bleeping) years ago. That (bleep) thinks he's a (bleeping) King. He issues (bleeping) edicts from on high, bypassing the entire IL Legislature. His OWN (bleeping) democratic party hates his guts and with GOOD reason as there's much more to Blago's ongoing criminal conspiracy than one (bleeping) Senate Seat.

Its not only Chicago but the entire state.
IL is controlled by 'the Combine'. They work with (bribe) anyone of either party. Sometimes you wonder if they don't actually pick both candidates ('semi' joking).
And how you missed the threads on our past criminal Gov, George Ryan (RINO-Convicted FELON), and his criminal conspiracy trial.. I don't know? And it was thanks to him and his criminal 'R' cronies that the IL GOP is in total shambles and literally gave all state offices to the RATS that the GOP had controlled for decades.

The fact is, it was never a matter of 'if' Blago would be indicted, it was only a matter of 'when'. And this senate seat deal is just his latest crime. Blago will face more trials while he's in Prison. And they also have his wife - Potty Mouth Patti - on tape scheming along with Blago for bribe money, and his aide Harris, who already resigned. Plus Jesse Jackson Jr, JJ Jrs brother and daddy too. (They all hired criminal defense lawyers the day Blago was arrested).
Lastly, Tony Rezko is still singing like a bird in hopes of a lighter sentence. His ties to Blago are closer than with Barry.
