Same thing happened with our two children.

First OB/GYN said our baby had Trisomy 18 and recommended an abortion or as he said “the baby is incompatible with life”.

We said, we would take whatever God gave us. Our world was turned upside down for months.

Needless, to say, we had a healthy baby girl sans any genetic problems.

Our second baby, were told conclusively that he had Down Syndrome. We told them they were full of Sh%t.

I told them to fax me the report. The nurse had my wifes date of birth off by 10 years.

Again, our son was born healthy and without a genetic issues.

With our first child and in the second trimester, the midwife pulled my wife aside and began breaking down some of the possibilities of birth defects and tests that a woman could take, when I overheard what she was saying I told her that we wouldn't need any tests.

She looked at my wife and told her that I had had no say in the matter and that she was free to decide as she wished.

My wife stared her down cold and grabbed my hand and told the woman that I was her husband and we would make all decisions together and that we would do nothing to terminate the pregnancy, so the whole point of the testing was irrelevant.

The midwife didn't have a whole lot to say after this.

Our boy turned out just fine.

It is a disgrace that so many of these people are involved in industries that impact life.
