I’m not sure. Just watch PS occasionally, but it does seem they mentioned during one game that one of the assistants might be a likely successor. Maybe a PS fan is around and knows for certain.

Nope, he abandoned my team for LSU, who he then abandoned for a bigger check in Miami, who he THEN abandoned because he couldn’t cut it. See a pattern here?

I enjoyed this game as I despise Alabama’s upitty and have yet to meet that of a Ute. :^)

Paterno is trying to outlast Bobby in Tallahassee. I think Bobby is set to step down in 2010.
Bowden looks healthy and sharp and is rebuilding his FSU squad. I don't really follow PS, but from what I've seen of Paterno, he appears fragile. It was a selfish move to sign a contract for 3 more years.

It’s really good to see the Fins performing well after the Saban debacle. Parcells and Sparano got thinks back on track.
To: eyedigress
I have a lot against Nick Saban and his attitude...so we are definitely in agreement there. I am very good friends with a Ute and he’s out in left field somewhere with me, so he’s a good guy.

You know what it is. Calling him selfish is short-sighted.

The TT QB has thrown more TD passes this year than any QB in history. They had some offense.

"Sooners would beat Utah by 50 points" That's just silly. Stick to subjects you know something about.

Great bowl game. The Ute's handed the Tides head to them. The officials gave some breaks to the tide, but it didn't help.

Sooners have not faced a D like Utah. They might win but in a squeeker.

Bowden and Paterno might be in a contest, but as Bowden was humble enough to say a few years back: “We still don’t think we are as great as the Bear.”

Agreed. Glad for the Fins as well.

Agreed — the Sooners would still be favored, but not by a lot. Since Utah’s D proved capable of holding ‘bama to 17 points, they’re not going to get blown out by 50+ points, even assuming their offense stalled, which is itself a dubious assumption.
