What really gets me, millions of Americans treat elected government officials as rock stars or higher powers.

We've come accustomed to putting these people up on pedestals.

These elitist in Congress, Supreme Court, and the White House have accepted and perpetuated this notion.

Elected officials are SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE!

They are elected by the people to go their and serve our will....not to take on some superior status.

This is what is wrong with our government, it has transformed into a oligarchy.

For instance, placing someone into a senate seat just because that person holds a name such as Kennedy, Clinton, Rockefeller or whatever.

American citizens need to demand more of these folks up in Washington or any state government.

The position gained in any governmental body is a privilege. A privilege to serve your country....not get rich off of it.

By rights,Those names should be reason enough to prevent them from running for public office. All three have been run in the dirt for so long.I hope[wishful thinking] Caroline Kennedy gets turned down before Chappaquidik Ted bites the big one so he could see the Kennedy legacy finally going down the toilet. That way he could go to his grave agonizing over the fact that America is finally starting to come to their senses by finally rejecting their BS and may have a chance to become a great nation once again.

I agree 100%.

The master has become the servant. The once servant has become the master.

And the sheeple continue to rejoice in their captivity. Not realizing a gilded cage is STILL a cage.

I cringe every time I hear someone say "the government ought to do something."
