I will guarantee, though, that her filibuster, if she is appointed as a Senator, would be unbeatable.:-)

This is like watching the Mafia regain power. Go straighten that Blago out, you might want to take a gun with you. Who’s that blind SOB going to appoint? Another useless governor. Go straighten him out too, don’t hurt him though.

Her IQ appears to be somewhere around 100. Clearly she is being recruited as a mindless puppet of the left. There is nothing she can possibly add other than her leftist vote.

I suspect her main function is a cheerleader and a fund raiser, which ‘princesses’ are good at. A princess is usually a well-known symbolic figure with high prestige. IQ or work experience doesn't matter.

Very funny! Governor Paterson is only doing what Illinois Governor Blagoevich wanted to do: Selling the Senate Seat, but Paterson is doing it the traditional way. Paterson has been promised tens of millions in financing for his 2010 election campaign from Obama, the Kennedys, and billionaire New York City Mayor Bloomberg. Remember, Paterson himself is an accidental Governor by virtue of Eliot Spitzer hooking up with high priced girls. He will need lots of money to defeat Andrew Cuomo in the primary and then Rudy Giuliani in the general election if they choose to run for Governor, and Senator Caroline would be viewed as a very weak 2010 candidate in the election process so that one or both might find it more interesting to run for the NY senate seat! Cuomo is divorced from Caroline’s cousin Kerry, so he might relish knocking her off.

So for 10-20 million in campaign financing, Paterson selects Kennedy and may even deflect his rivals to the NY senate election instead of his Governorship. Verry Savvy.

I'll give Paterson one thing: he wants to wait until HILLARY ACTUALLY VACATES THE SEAT!

That hasn't happened yet, and it won't happen until she's approved by the Senate.
Which won't happen until her name is submitted by President Obama.
Which won't happen until he's actually SWORN IN!

Geez, there were people that wanted him to name the replacement in 2008 -- before the Senate that would confirm the nomination was even seated!!!

“Caroline Kennedy, who is currently campaigning to replace Hillary Clinton as a New York senator, doesn’t mind being compared to Jennifer Lopez.”

I kinda suspect that Miss Lopez does mind though.

Why not Caroline? She’s as qualified as most of the clowns already there.

In the last days of the Roman Empire, the Emporors would make their horses Senators. Today, we can’t afford the whole horse.

>>The Kennedys are a perfect example that nothing of value can be bought with money.<<

How about selective inbreeding? The rich and powerful only marry the rich and powerful. They beget children, who marry each other.

"How about selective inbreeding?"

What one might call unnatural selection? Whatever we choose to call it, people like Caroline seem to regard the decisions they make as a natural outcome of a royal prerogative coming to them simply by virtue of their mere existence, and requiring no further thought on their part.
