Sheets are what the Democrats wore, Fire Hoses are what they used, in the manner of Bull Connor, to keep the blacks out. If you don't know who the great Democrat Bull Connor was, do a search.

You must not know your American history, short version -- The KKK was formed after the civil war, around 1870 as the terrorist wing of the Democrat party, then came the Democrat party’s segregation and Jim Crow laws. In the meantime, the Democrats used to conduct summary lynchings of blacks and whites to keep everyone in line -- Vote Democrat or else. For a modern model, think PLO, their terror wing and their political wing. Predates, but works fine for the Democrat's KKK model.
