I'm all for decorum, but I think this is all a tempest in a teapot.

In butcher shops, you see "butts" and people order them. On military bases in the field, you see "butt cans" labeled as such for expended cigarettes. Sometimes, a person can become the "butt" of a joke.

Governor Palin said "butt." Much ado about nothing.
