Our economy is tanking, we have a Marxist of questionable origins about to take the highest office in the land, India and Pakistan are rattling sabres at each other, Israel and Hamas are at it (go Israel!) and people are on here fussing about someone saying the word "butt."

Oh, to have the luxury, the simplicity of life to be concerned about things like that! LOL

I'll agree that people getting bent out of shape over ‘butt’ is at best ludicrous and at worst embarrassing and damaging; the thread did morph into a personal offense kinda thing, which I can kinda see. No reason to talk to the lady like that.

You may think so, and indeed all of those things are happening...

..but if we, as a society, lose the genteel courtesy of kind and appropriate words, we are losing on another kind of front.

Decorum should not be sacrificed to modern society.
