Maybe they like the hole their party is standing in and want to dig it even deeper. That’s their right, but it does the country no good...the Times conveniently neglects to mention, as Fox News did the other night (Brit Hume's "Grapevine", of course) that the Magic Negro term was first applied to Obama in 2007 by some gay, black newspaper columnist (whose name I forget) as a sarcastic dig at O's attempts to play to white folks while trying to conceal his allegiance to black interests - but then nobody ever expects the Times to rise to the excellence in journalism that Fox news regularly attains......
