I fail to see why this has suddenly become an “issue”. Rush has been playing the song for months.

From the article:Chip Saltsman, a candidate for chairman of the Republican National Committee, sent the song on a CD with 40 other songs, in a Christmas mailer to committee members.

So someone high up in the party has become associated with the song instead of just Rush.

There is a youtube video of Rush defending this parody that was posted almost 7 months ago. Then there is another youtube video that was posted on October 09, 2007 that has this song. Who knows how long Rush has been playing this. All this sudden outrage is a bit much. But I guess we couldn’t expect anything less from the MSM.

I first heard this parody on Rush a year ago.

The lame-stream media is certainly on top of things.

Meanwhile, the lefties can call George W. Bush Hitler, shrub, chimp, write novels about his “assassination”, make movies about the same outrageous subject, and no one on the left complains about these tasteless displays.

Two words...Fairness Doctrine.

Some people may have forgot about this, but it hasn’t gone away. This is just a trial balloon to see what can cause a public outcry against talk radio. As soon as something sticks, they we must bring back the FD in order to stop the hate speech.

It really proves that the Republican leadership does not listen to what is happening outside the beltway. Their go along to get along attitude diminishes our freedoms and economic well being. You never see a compromise on cutting spending only on cutting the growth of spending, like, that is a real spending cut. Every compromise with the Bolshies is a loss.

It is Republican 'leadership' who have made it an issue.
