God is the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I agree. But he apparently changed his mind, going from an Old covenant to a new covenant. I always wondered why so many Christians don’t believe that God really meant it when he went to a new covenant.

Under the Old Covenant you had no right to the God of Abraham if you were not a Jew. The New Covenant made clean what was called unclean...a gentile (non-Jew...all who would believe, the world)...and gave you the same rights as Gods Chosen people. You were grafted in by the New Covenant. God did not expect people to become more sinful with this honor....or to think they had a right to blatently disobey God with a get out of jail free card. “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.”
It is a narrow path...not the wide one that is easy and many travel.
