Aside from the fact that possessing a gun at the wrong place and the wrong time can be a felony, you don't want to try and say that firing into a crowd is no worse than just owning a gun.

But this is what the MADD crowd has done with alcohol. Merely drinking alcohol is equal to causing injuries while drunk.

It won't take long for them to extend this to firearms.

You are absolutely correct, and it has begun. I'm still trying to connect all the (financial) dots as to the motivating reason for the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation to be financially backing the gun grabbers (Brady group in particular.) But the connection is not as clear cut as with MADD and the anti-tobacco groups.

RWJF is almost totally funded by its portfolio of Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical stock, therefore RWJF has a vested financial interest in forcing people to stop drinking alcohol or using tobacco. J&J is the manufacturer of alcohol and smoking cessation drugs. The more of those products sold, the higher J&J stock prices go and the bigger RWJF portfolio gets to fund even more nanny-state laws to further pad its pockets.

It is a vicious circle that is stripping away rights of US citizens and around the world.
