Yes, you can. By attending the public schools, you may be required to perform mandated "community service" or "volunteerism" in order to receive a diploma.

Nope, a minor can not legally enter into a contract. I assure you, I will never agree to such for my child. She will receive her diploma based upon her grades in required academic course work.
