I have just read this entire thread, and I am amazed at the number of nanny state totalitarians that now post on FR. No, I’m not advocating drunk driving, but I’ve had friends that did jail time for sleeping in their car (keys were inside car.put on the cuffs )...the laws are insane.
I remember a State Police sign that was on Rt 13 in Delaware that would post “100 traffic deaths this year, 40 alcohol related”...I know what they were trying to say, but what it told me was that 60% of the people out the can’t even drive sober.

Delaware is "special". Most of those traffic laws have to do with the "beach", and they'll be enforced against tourists, not the locals.
