Hello Jim,
My name is Gail Cook and I am Moonman's wife. Moon passed away on Saturday morning after a long illness with Cancer. He loved this site, he loved being a Freeper. I noticed that he made a comment the day before he died, and it made me cry. Is there a way you can let the members know that Moon is now with the Lord in his new heavenly home? He was 58 years young, married for 32 years, was a loving husband and father to two children a daughter Kelly and his son, Justin. Also two little grandson's. He loved this country, and was an amazing American.
Thanks Jim for considering my request.
Mrs. Moon Cook
May The Lord Give you His Peace which passes all understanding. May He comfort you and provide for you, in Jesus Holy Name, amen.
FReepers are here for you, May God Bless.
Moonman's holding the sign "clinton: America's Shame"
What a bunch of great Americans!
That was on Gonzo's birthday,too!
What a great FReep that was!
We'll miss you, Moonman,
FRegards!
That photo’s dated 12/11/99 !!!
Do you have the December '99 Orlando pic?...Lake Buena Vista...al gore
..I was in awe meeting Freepers for the first time....all of you were like celebrities to me.
I also remember arriving late....but I did stand next to Moonman in some other picture, I think Gonzo took it.
Prayers for the family.
Jonah Goldberg in the center, I’m to the right (my brother took the picture), I can’t recall the girls name...she worked at Canaveral or in NASA. Don’t know the guy in the background to the right of Seekingthetruth. This was at the MFJ.
Yes, I remember that too!
I also remember your apprehensiveness about your photo being posted. LOL! We soon convinced you and reassured that everything would be OK!
When I get back to my office, I'll dig up more pics and post them here!
Prayers up to Moonman’s family.
Mrs. Cook. You take care. Through your loss and sorrow keep your thoughts on our Lord’s gracious promises. Moonman is now HIS. It looks like you shall have many loving and tender memories of a good man that now will see the promises all who serve the Lord shall in due time experience. You have him always in fond and loving memories.
May God bless the loved ones with comfort and peace.
Prayers going up for this family and condolences for them and friends of Moonman. :*(

Mrs.Cook, I remember standing next to your husband (who I considered a celebrity because he was a Freeper) ...
..and he was such a gentleman.
God bless you.
WOW! That photo of us with Moonman was taken over 10 years ago, and it seems almost like yesterday to me!
Thanks for posting it. I’m looking forward to seeing any others you can find when you get back to work. I haven’t had time to look back through my photos yet, but will try and get to them soon.
Please give her my deepest sympathies. God bless all of them in their loss.
58. Too young to die.
I hate cancer.
I’m sorry for your loss. May our Lord bless and keep you all.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all... The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate." -- Psalm 34:17-19,22"The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
