The elected officials and county employees think they own the courthouse...and apparently they do considering what they get away with.

They just gave themselves a 7% payraise!

Josephine county just did the same kind of thing, even though they have been sniveling incessantly for a few years about the loss of federal funds for the timber harvest restrictions.

Timber was our main industry until a few years ago.

Our congressman came to town and requested a meeting with the county commissioners to see how he could help--the County Judge lied and said he would be out of town.

The congressman came anyway and met the public in an eatery across the street from the courthouse. The commissioners didn't cross the street to meet with him but he later went to the tour the courthouse and the judge and commissioners were having an illegal unposted meeting in the commissioner's court room. They only care about themselves...they couldn't care less about the loggers that are suffering. Our congressman is a Repub but we do not have one Repub elected county official. We have a new Dem County Judge who thinks the congressman is his best friend.

I think our commissioners' average IQ is ab out 80.
