Well, I can tell you from going to a few Protestant Prayer Groups, where women were catty as the day is long or BSF where they slammed Catholics like no tomorrow (I wasn’t with THEM long) IF The Father was there, he was shaking His head.

I went to BSF for years and was a discussion leader with them. I recall no slamming of catholics. In fact, it was against the rules to mention denominations altogether.
If you had a problem with BSF it was either a rogue group (which given the scrutiny we were given by leadership, I doubt), or you had a problem with the Scripture being studied itself.

I’ve never been to a Bible study where women were catty. Our young women in my church are hungry for God. They bring their children and we enjoy coffee, fellowship and the word. Ever study a Beth Moore book and video? She’s amazing. I recommend her highly.
