You are celebrating that Republicans are attacking President Bush?!

" A group of Republican leaders including the vice-chair of the Republican National Committee say they will try in January to pass a resolution accusing President George Bush and congressional Republican leaders of embracing "socialist" policies. "

Those so-called Republican leaders should focus on thwarting OBAMA's socialist/Marxist agenda, instead of attacking President Bush in the final days of his presidency.

What those Republicans are doing is pathetic, and people here cheering them on seem to enjoy watching the continued destruction of the Republican party and rise of the Democrats. Republican infighting was what got us Obama and the Dem majority in Congress.

No, GWB was the de facto campaign manager for Oprah’s Choice. He is responsible for what he face.

No, I am celebrating the move away from democRAT-lite governance from the Republican party. If GWB gets tarred with that brush, it’s his own fault.

Yes, I agree. Republican infighting, and acting like "Democrat-lite" big-government socialists got us exactly where the Republican (RINO) party is now.

I agree with Solomon Yue and the other conservative Republicans. We must break from the "Democrat-lite" socialist past and begin educating people now about conservative (Reagan) principles so that when it is time to vote in 2010 and 2012, more Americans understand the principles they are voting for/against.

We should rebuild the grassroots conservative movement. From the Reagan Revolution of 1980 through the Contract with America in 1994, it was this movement from outside Washington that carried us to the first center-right majority governing coalition in more than 60 years.

The problem has not been with conservatism or with our voters.

The problem has been with Republican leaders who forgot who elected them and what values their supporters expected to see implemented in Washington.

Someone has to take a stand against socialism and Bush has not.

You are forgetting the Basic Rule of Conservatism:

No One Is Conservative Enough!

Remember that by current Free Republic standards, even Reagan was a RINO (amnesty for illegals, remember?)

Broken-glass Republicans are a myth, too; how many conservatives stayed home the last two election cycles, while The Left came out in hordes?

The Republicans seem to enjoy blasting more each other than attacking Democrats. Each different brand (Fiscal, Neo, Moderate, Compassionate) is more comfortable blaming each other for election losses, etc... than trying to figure out how to move forward and get the American people behind them.

Many Freepers seem to enjoy this concept/practice as well.

No, socialists in the republican ranks is what cost us the election. When conservatives act conservative, they win. When they try to imitate the dems, they lose. Happens every time.

Garbage!

It was moderate Republicans, such as yourself and McCain, and their constant whining about how we need to move to the center (Left), along with GWB who used his "Compassionate" label to cover up his liberal fiscal positions on the issues along with the inane and completely wrong support of Illegal Aliens and amnesty that have gotten the GOP into the mess it is today.

Don't attack people for telling the truth, and please drop your support for such non-Republicans as McCain et. all.

“You are celebrating that Republicans are attacking President Bush?!”

I’m celebrating that Republicans are articulating Republican (conservative) principles. Other recent posts on Free Republic report that House/Senate leaders are preparing resistance to Obama as well.

I don’t believe in cults of personality — whether they revolve around Bush or Obama — that lead nations to economic disaster time and time again.

Agree totally. The "hate Bush" crowd here is as bad as DU.

people here cheering them on seem to enjoy watching the continued destruction of the Republican party

Most Freepers are VERY simple minded these days.

Oh stop the bullsh*t.

It was Bush, his leftist, socialist policies, along with most of the Republican party. Bush spent money like a drunk lotto winner in Vegas, aided and abetted a violent illegal invasion of our country, right along with most of his party, a party that were more concerned with their party, than with conservative principles.

There is no fighting here, this isn't even debatable.

Bush's legacy is Obama.
