Rahm Emanuel has looked to Washington for defense counsel in the scandal surrounding Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Valerie Jarrett went with someone in Chicago.

The two top aides to President-elect Barack Obama retained lawyers for interviews this month with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Chicago and with Gregory Craig, the incoming White House counsel ....

Blago's latest press conference was as entertaining as an Eliot Ness documentary.

Notice how Blag kept looking back at the curtain backdrop? That's b/c the Chicago PTB have a contract out on him.

Daley's boys were locked and loaded behind the curtain, aiming AK47's at Blago's back. If Blago didn't sound really, REALLY sincere, he was dead meat.

When Blag said, "I have done nothing wrong," that's when Daley gave the signal to his boys to relax their trigger fingers.

I hope you are right because I do want to believe that Fitzgerald is honest and will bring all those who have committed crimes to justice no matter who it is.

If I believe anything, I believe Fitz is honest. He will follow every lead and where ever it goes, he WILL indict. No matter who. That's why Jesse Jackson, JJ Jr, and now Rahm have all hired Criminal Attorneys. Fitz has never lost a case and even those that flip and cut deals go to prison.

And he really has put more Chi-IL Dems in prison than "IL Republicans" (stinking RINOs and crooks anyway). And Fitz ain't nowhere near done going after the crooked Dems still walking around free.

The thorn in everyone's side w/ Fitz is the Scooter Libby thing. THAT was a real head shaker. The ONLY thing I can think of is Scooter lied or misled ('obstructed') early on, just prior to Colin Powell's stooge, Armitage, fessing up he was the original leak. And if it came down to Scooter's word (memory) against that of Tim Russert, well Russert is dead. So maybe there is a God, and he got even. (semi joking)

In retrospect, I'm starting to take a much dimmer view of Fitz. What was that big grandstand, with him talking about what was on the tapes, all about? Looked like he was poisoning his own jury well.

The prevailing rumor is that someone yelled, "Look out! Shooter!"

Cheney thought the guy said "Scooter" and got off a neat shot in Scooter's direction.

Unfortunately, the bullet whizzed by and parted Scooter's hair (he is very short).

Harry got shot instead.

It seems that many of his FR defenders 'are', just because he worked for Cheney and a Repub Admin. Ergo he must be innocent and Fitz is a bad guy and a Dem tool. However, previously Scooter worked for Democrats, and a lot of them. This was reported only a few times then went down the MSM memory hole.

Point being, Scooter isn't/wasn't some GOP stalwart working his rear off for republicans (or conservatives) all his life. He worked for whomever would pay him and was just another neocon who infested Dubya's administration.
