ST. PAUL, Minn. The campaigns of Republican Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken wrangled Monday over hundreds of unopened absentee ballots that could still tip Minnesota's Senate race.
Lawyers ended a testy public negotiation session convened by the secretary of state's office without agreement on which ballots to open or how many should be under consideration.

I recall (but I’m too lazy to find a link) a case in U.S. history where a local election in a rural area resulted in, and was successfully resolved by, an armed grassroots uprising and prolonged firefight between the two sides, wherein the ggod guys ultimately prevailed against the entrenched corruption of the scumbags...people were actually killed and maimed, etc...the feds were too late to the shooting match to intervene, and of course the actions of the winners were second-guessed and criticized and all, but after all the good guys did win and the problem was in fact settled.
There has to be a runoff election here. A third party candidate took something like fifteen percent of the vote and what you have now is a situation in which the signal/noise ratio has totally gone south.
Have a great day, all.
ACORN office still open
Probably McMinn (or maybe Meigs) Co Tenn, c. 1946. There is an account in John Gunther’s book “inside USA” I think he says that newly returned veterans took on the old machine - after the voting, the old guys took the ballot boxes into the jail to “count” them in privacy, and the vets simply stormed the jail!
At least that’s what I remember — with that much, you may be able to google it up.
I do believe you are correct, that is the particular story as I recall it...
They are making the Florida Board of Elections seem competent. What a fricking joke.
They need to know how many votes to steal, er manufacture, er find.
Seeing as how drawing an X through a ballot FOR Coleman negates the ballot (or turns it into a vote FOR Franken) and an X through a ballot FOR Franken is STILL a vote for Franken, they must be confused on just what they need to do to the remaining ballots to secure a victory that will pass the smell test.
Floriduh 2000 has given us Minnesoduh.
The margin of error is a definite factor and a runoff should be required. Congress CAN force it but with Democrats in power, don’t believe for a second that they want to hear from the people on this matter.
That’s what’s so rotten about the Minnesota situation to begin with.
The recount was trigged automatically because the count was so close. It SHOULD have triggered a runoff.
The Left insists that Richard Nixon was our most Evil president but he knew what a drawn out recount and investigation in 1960 would have done to this country and for the Communists in Cuba and USSR.
Just like the Democrats did in Washington State; Keep counting and changing “voter intent” till the Democrat wins.
As soon as the count officially favors the Democrat, stop counting and declare the “winner”.
Oh, I almost forgot, make sure the “Canvasing Board” has an all Democrat, selective agenda.
“I dont give a damn what anyone calls me or thinks of me.”
Me too, guy. And if they try and act on their hate, my .38 appears and we discuss the situation rationally.
God willing, there will be another resolved in the same way.
By the way, whatever happened to that famous ACORN INVESTIGATION OF VOTER FRAUD being done by the FBI, which I would presume covers all of the United States....or was that just Ohio?
