A luxurious estate in Marthas Vineyard will be Caroline Kennedy retreat away from the stress of Capitol Hill if she replaces Hillary Clinton as New Yorks next Senator.
The Clintons have nothing on the Kennedys when it comes to net worth and luxurious homes.
Caroline is the owner of a 336-acre estate with a 2,000-foot-long driveway and is worth an estimated $50 million, according to the New York Post. Carolines mother Jackie Onassis purchased the property for $1.1 million in 1978.
The house is just a small part of Caroline Kennedy's personal fortune, which could exceed $400 million, according to C. David Heymann, author of "American Legacy: The Story of John and Caroline Kennedy."
The sprawling estate is the perfect place for the senatorial hopeful wheel and deal away from the spotlight of the Senate. The property boasts 4,620 feet of oceanfront for her to recoup from the stress of Washington, if she gets appointed by New York Gov. David Paterson to replace Sen. Clinton.

Lifestyles of the Rich and Totally Out of Touch.

All you guys wouldn’t be thinkin’ it was that great if you had to shovel snow off that 2000 foot driveway.

....and with a silver teaspoon no doubt! LOLOLOL!
Years ago I dated a wealthy lawyer who was a committed Dem (I was admittedly ambivalent at the time). Anyway he once told me he would gladly pay higher taxes to, in today’s terms, effect change and help people. I told him; only because you can afford it!
you’ve got to take a shuttle bus to get to the tennis court from the house... damn, ain’t life a beeotch.
So if we accept this is Camelot’s return, then acording to Jack and Bobby there is only one requirement needed of a Kennedy to hold the country’s top offices.
You have to regularly play touch football (either at the Kennedy compound gatherings or on the WH lawn).
I they won’t ask Carolyn anything else will they at least ask her if she meets that iron clad Camelot requirement.
I like the voting record angle. Her’s is as bad as Gov. Deval Patrick’s. When WRKO’s Scott Allan Miller went to Milton city hall to examine his voting record he was called a racist. One idiot even went so far as to opine that since the KKK started in Indiana where Scotto is from, it was no wonder he would intrude like this. Yeah I know. The KKK did not start in Indiana. But why let the facts get in the way a good race libel?
“Camelot, tis a silly place.”
Wonder what she'll do there?
If the bonehead that's now New Yarkansas' governor appoints Macaroni's little pal to be Hitlery's replacement, she'll occupy the Carol Mosely Braun slot.
When apostrophes attack! Put's? MSNBC's headline writer would appear to be a putz...
A luxurious estate in Marthas Vineyard...
And on a nice summer day, the Princess can take a short ride over to Chappaquiddick and look at the Ghost of Christmas past...
again N.Y. get’s it in the ass.
I used to go to school with people like this.
You had to drive a car to get to their stables and tennis courts.
I don’t know Caroline personally (although I did see Jackie often at events), but the people I knew were good folks.
Some had the intelligence to be senators, but most couldn’t be bothered.
So should McCain and Biden. But, we wouldn’t want them to lose the presidential election and be totally out of the political picture, would we?
Caroline is the owner of a 336-acre estate with a 2,000-foot-long driveway and is worth an estimated $50 million...
The sentence makes it seem that Caroline is worth $50m, but the article later claims $400m, suggesting that the property is worth $50m.
When conservatives are rich they say “Look at those greedy rich people, we need to take their money.”
When liberals are rich, it’s time to fawn over the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”
