CAROLINE: IT'S A CLAN-DO EFFORT
NY Post ^ | Dec. 28,2008 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

KIDS & HUBBY ARE ALL ABOARD RUN FOR SENATE - AND OBAMA'S 'ENCOURAGING' They're virtually unknown to New Yorkers, but the husband and children of Caroline Kennedy - the woman with one of the most famous names in American politics - are also dreaming of bringing back Camelot.

Q&A With Caroline Kennedy

In a sit-down with The Post, President John F. Kennedy's daughter, who has spent years guarding her family's privacy, said her three children - Rose, 20, Tatiana, 18, and John, 15 - and husband Edwin Schlossberg completely back her effort to be appointed to the Senate seat of Secretary of State nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton, although they realize it will mean a family adjustment.

In the 40-minute interview, Kennedy also said President-elect Barack Obama had been "encouraging" when she spoke to him about the seat. She also said Mayor Bloomberg's maneuver to repeal term limits would have been better handled through a voter referendum, and all but acknowledged that she used drugs decades ago.

“Lets get real royalty in the US Senate Caroline Schlossberg.”

Just watch: She’s going to add a “von” to her name, as in Caroline von Schlossberg. Hell, her grandfather would have loved that. But maybe the “von” would reek too much of the Hun: She’ll likely opt for a French connection then, and toss in a “d’” to the moniker, ala Caroline d’ Schlossberg.

What is it with the Kennedy women? They all look like they’ve been rode hard and put away wet. For such a prominent family they sure have some crappy genes.

It's called premature aging. It happens when all you have to worry about is what offshore bank to put all your millions in...or should I say, HIDE all your millions.

Maybe we should leave these Democrats alone to promote all their “best & brightest” to high office. How much damage does dumbness actually do? US citizens do the heavy lifting and keep this nation working in spite of our politicians.

Let’s take a look at their POTUS selections:
John Kerry - there’s a brain trust.
Al Gore - inventor of other people’s stuff and idea plagiarist.
Bill Clinton - a sexual innuendo
Dukakas - ‘nuff said
McGovern - yipee!!
Carter - more sufferin’

I can’t believe the crappy people these Dems dig up to run things here in the Umpire State. Schlossberg/Kennedy? What a twit! She can barely speak! What a dummy! There’s plenty of Dems in UPSTATE New York who’d fit the job, actual experienced politicians/leaders. The whole state is lousy with people who know something/anything about politics/government. This twit is a moron. How’s this for a kicker...since the vacated Senate seat (Hillary’s) MUST be filled by a woman (according to Democrat party PC rules), and since this Schlossberg twit is one, she must be the right one. Here’s another...once she’s been in the senate for a few years, (and becoming emminently qualified!) she can be BHO’s VP for 2012, and then after that, a new President Kennedy (she’ll have dumped that Schlossberg name/guy by then). Sorry if this sours anyone’s tummy.

“First, Hillary carpet bags them, now this. It’s hard to believe they put up with these kind of insults.”

....I agree...it’s been going on a long time...remember Bobby Kennedy convenient relocation from Mass to NY to be a Senator.

I agree. It’s hard to understand how somebody with her advantages could be so inarticulate and inept with the English language. She doesn’t inspire any confidence in her intellectual abilities. She has none of the Kennedy glibness.

Caroline has the look of a long time smoker. She has the little vertical lines on her upper lip and gray coloring.

Caroline Kennedy also walks like a man.
In fact, she walks like John Wayne.

All that time and money spent for a Swiss Finishing School and all she got was stinking cuckoo clock.

“Caroline has the look of a long time smoker.”

I’ve heard that same thing from several other people. I know her mom smoked.

How so? I don’t know any long time dopers so I have no frame of reference. Long time alcoholics, yes, I know that look well.

Give me a break!!! Caroline has just set women back 30 years. Clue: It really doesn't matter what your family thinks. Does Caroline have the stuff? Not... she's the self-appointed head of several organizations funded by her family wealth. She's NEVER had a real job where her worth was evaluated. And, she has sh*tty public speaking skills. She's not articulate. She's a commoner with money.

What steams me is the media’s disgracefully disparate coverage of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in contrast to the fawning sycophantic adulation afforded this silver-spoon-in-the-mouth do-nothing.

The upper class do-nothing gets serious respectful headlines and the cache of an honorable appointee (have yet to see one mainstream article in local paper or on Fox opposing her), while Governor Palin, a middle class, elected, experienced, and tested administrator of a state, got nothing but coast-to-coast howls as to how she was entirely unqualified, unprepared, too stupid, and too inexperienced to run for the office of vice president. Get the message?

Such elitist arrogance should be—but alas is not—beyond the bounds of our republic. We need a purged media in America before the old rotten one destroys the middle class and plunges us forever into feudalism and serfdom.

Excellent reminder. The most remarkable event since Caligula appointed his horse to the Senate. And yes, the face looks familiar.
