ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- 2008 was the year that Gov. Sarah Palin presented America with a memorable image of Alaska and - accurate or not - made it stick with a joke about hockey moms, pitbulls and lipstick.
Palin - little-known outside Alaska and with only two years in office - was catapulted onto the national political scene when she was picked by Republican presidential candidate John McCain to be his running mate.

I can’t get the article up. Looks like the Newsminer site is down (for me anyways) Looks interesting though.
I didn’t read the article but if it’s an AP report, it has to be a hit piece. They must really think Palin has the Right Stuff if they are continuing their offensive 7 weeks after the elections. Scared to death of her? Oh yeah!
I’m telling ya, she is the future of the Republican party, why, because the libs are scared to death of her. They continue to trash her, they can’t leave her alone, why, she lost, McCain lost, yet they can’t leave her alone, the question is why, and we all know why
Great pic. Thanks. bookmarking
Great photo.
I love that flag pin she’s wearing. Amazing.
And husseinobama wouldn’t even wear one for most of his campaign.
I just thought is was funny.
Hey ya'll. Another day, another 100 people canceling their MSM subscription :D. And now to Palin.
Want a brief overview of what all has happen in Alaska while Palin has been in office. This article about how Palin has brought all heaping types of attention of Alaska. It's interesting peek into tidbits you may not know about Alaska.
You want even more information about Palin in AK, here's an article about Alaska fighting Exxon about the lease of Point Thomson. An interesting view of the corruption that the gas and oil companies of AK have lived in. I don't think this was that great of a picture. They could have found something better.
Palin in a Parade (magazine) and at any city (newspaper stand) near you. They really didn't write that much about her other than a short tidbit about her (here and a blurb about the debunked story about some one yelling "Kill him" (which is metioned by freeper Curth).
Here's a spirit lifter though, Palin was ranked higher than Oprah on this year survey of the most admired woman taken by Gallup. She came in second... to Hillary Clinton. /grumble (never mind)
Lastly, Did McCain botch Palin during the campaign by picking her? Click here for info.

Thanks for the ping.
Thank you for reading and taking time to respond :D. I appreciate any feedback!
It's very much an 'Alamo' type situation and we need some heavy 'big gun' reinforcements from FR to join in the fight and help defend the site.
Anybody here willing to step across that line in the sand?
