Dr. John P Pryor (trauma care surgeon ) was Major in US Army Reserve Medical Corps. As end of Christmas Mass Service, A Mortar Killed Pryor when he was checking in on his patients. Dr Pryor, permanently attached at the University of Pennsylvania, left behind his wife and 3 children
It’s pretty sad that our support troops are still subject to mortar fire. One would hope that by year 5 we’d have some safe regions, say those for hospitals. Maybe it was a freak shot, but it sure sounds like even after the surge it’s not really all that peaceful there.
