The media and Democrats might hate Sarah Palin, but her 2009 calendar is currently the number one best selling office product at Amazon.com.
Just imagine how this must be galling liberal press members who can't understand her popularity.
Of course, the cynic -- or the realist depending on your point of view -- might believe that media very much understand why she's so popular, and that's why they hate her so much.

As for your site.....your first essay said a hell of a lot...and said it well.......and the Videos were spot on for the season....I commend your guts putting it up and having to listen to no-talents like me commenting on it.....such is the price of fame!
Palin is a populist because unlike Wash DC GOP she does not fully trust corporate America. Look how she broke up their old boys network/deal when it came to bidding on pipeline leases. Today she is embroiled in a legal fight with Exxon because they were givened leases on land to drill oil. Oil was discovered and Alaska assumed Exxon will drill and create revenue for the state. Instead Exxon refuses to drill despite the energy crisis. Now Alaska is finding a way to take the lease away from Exxon and give it to another bidder who will immediately drill for oil and gas. That is why she resonates with me, she knows what life is like for the blue collar (her husband is one) and she knows that the US has resources to produce jobs for them (not like globalist GOP who would find ways to export our jobs overseas and the Dem environmentalist that will prevent job creation). Palin in 2012!!!!!
Ronald Reagan referred to himself as a populist, so I'd reckon Gov. Palin is in pretty good company.

I wish I had taken that National Review cruise to Alaska a few summers back. I understand some folks on that trip had a chance to meet the Guv.
Besides, nothing is set in stone. If we don't go this summer we have two more before the real war starts in 2012.
And the more I think about it the more I would like to make it some type of freeper event. It would be great to meet in person all the folks we meet on line and to do it with a purpose to meet SP is an added bonus. If it does get a little traction I will talk to big Jim Robinson for his blessing.

This is the point I am trying to make, the left don’t bash Huckabee, they don’t say anything nasty about Romney, or Sanford, or Jindal, or Huntsman, these are all supposed conservatives, they ONLY bash Sarah, say nasty things about her, Huckabee ran for President, so did Romney, yet not the hate from the left like they hate Sarah, the left are terrified of her, her charisma, her ability to bring people to her, her likability, her conservative views, pro-life, pro 2nd amendment, if the left were making nasty comments about Huckabee I’d say “Ok I guess they just hate everyone on the right” but nope, I don’t see the kind of venom that I see towards Sarah from the left, so I smell fear from them, and if we are smelling fear from the left then that means we have a great chance in coming back and taking back the White House in 2012 with Sarah as our nominee<<<<

The bulk of your message seems to be that she isn’t conservative, without much substance to the position, and that we should be wise to move on...to what or whom exactly?
Last I checked she’s very much a favorite of the conservative movement and the base of the party. So that would make you and your “conservative” friends an extreme minority would it not? Which is fine. But if you are so far apart from where the majority of the movement is, why would I follow your lead to the promise land where “real” conservatives reside? We evidently differ on the definition and those who serve it.
BTW, don’t be so ludricrous as to suggest disregard of your position as being rooted in that of a cult following. She’s a politician and as such no infalliable immortal. Certainly she doesn’t warrant her own alter at church. If you want to seek example of a cult, exit stage left to the Obama alter down the road.
I’m merely tired of hearing from people like yourself who would run off a conservative for whatever fleeting passion you serve. I don’t care if you vote for her or support her for higher office. But I’ll be damned if I stand by and see conservatives run off or urged to be abandoned by anyone. There are precious few in the party these days and none with her current high profile stature. The way I see it until you or your kind produce someone of equal or better value in position to be heard and effect change, your calls to throw her overboard will go unanswered.**

I had thought a populist was someone like BOR or Slick Willy, who stuck their finger in the wind and saw what was currently popular and went that way. I guess their just weasels with no center.
