It was supposed to rain here today, but it turned into a beautiful sunny day about 70 degrees. It was 80 yesterday, so it was nicer out today. Where are you located?

I’m embarassed I haven’t worked out but one day the past couple weeks. The fractures are pretty much healed up now, so I need to start back in the gym.

It’s not willpower that I lack..
It’s the “WON’T” power!
(I won’t eat that last piece of candy..)

We're east of Seattle (about 10 miles east of Redmond Microsoft). The past couple of weeks have featured a string of snowstorms and freezing weather -- VERY unusual here, but for all that we're house-bound we're enjoying the holiday.
The snow brightens things considerably from our depressingly dark winters. (You either become inured to them or you move away.)
I imagine it's great there right now. "We" have an extended family reunion in MS every June, but it's not a comfortable time for those of us accustomed to much cooler climes.

Hope you had a good one! Ours was a quiet, peaceful one. Got to talk to the rest of our family spread out here and there that weren’t with us today.

When my belt started getting a little tight this week, I knew it was time to get back on a diet and working out. OK. No cocoa for me tonight. I’ll have coffee. LOL

I had to work this morning, but the rest of it was very nice.
I spent most of the evening posting songs on the other thread.

I dropped something heavy and thin on my foot and broke a couple of toes. It still hurts a little, but the bones have all knitted back together.

Ouch! Well at least that’s progress. The only bone I’ve ever broken was in a finger; it never set right but the set very helpfully keeps that (unused) finger out of the way when playing bagpipes. Beginning pipers have to learn to deal with that finger...

On Dec 26, 1944, Patton breaks through German lines to free trapped American soldier at Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge. Despite being dangerously low on food, ammo, and warm clothing, the Americans held their position.

Beautiful! I have about 50 of those planted in my front yard. And another 30 in yellow. One of my favorite flowers.

LOL I won’t even tell you what I have been eating since Thanksgiving! I have a long haul to lose weight. I just eat and drink whatever I want. Let me tell you, that is not the way to go!
