If he had authority over the Confederacy then his Emancipation Proclamation would have freed the slaves.

It did.

It freed no one, and you know it.

What it meant was that slaves could flee their masters and not have to worry about being returned if caught, as the Fugitive Slave Laws required. And hundreds of thousands of Southern slaves took advantage of it.

You can cover your ears and chant “lalalalalalalalalala” all you want, but the fact remains the Confederate States of America was a separate and sovereign nation for the four years it existed.

No other country at the time agreed with you. In their eyes the confederacy was a rebellious part of the U.S. No more, and no less.

Britain didn’t think so. It understandably took a wait-and-see attitude, to see which side was going to win. It did not want to piss off either side. Funny, Britain continued trade with the Confederacy even after its shipping was interdicted by Yankee naval elements. One would think that Britain would refrain from trade with the Confederacy if it thought it didn’t exist.

As for Lincoln ordering Chief Justice Taney’s arrest, just Google that; it’s all over the place. Your abject refusal to accept any bad press for your god Abe Lincoln speaks volumes about your stubbornness and ignorance.

Not-shit, I mean non-sequitur, we will never agree on this topic, and, quite franly, I am growing tired of of your sophomoric attempts to elevate the impossible (i.e., that Lincoln sits at the left hand of God).
