What have the American people elected? An empty suit with a remarkable talent for self-promotion, fresh from the corrupt backroom political world of Chicago.
He was aided and abetted by the adoring media in both shedding the stench of Chicago's gutter level politics and in creating the statesmanlike image he projects. With the media totally on his side to cover his tracks and give him a boost out of the gutter, he skillfully created a public persona, who if this article is any guide bears very little resemblance to the man himself.
The next four years, (please dear God let it only be four) will be interesting to say the least, provided the nation survives them intact that is.
