If I am banned from FR for speaking my opinion, thats fine. Why dont you try to get me banned?”
In your opinion, the John Birch Society may be “extremist”. Many others on the left view it as extremist, as well. Many on the right do not.
Since you ask for an explanation regarding my comment, allow me to give you one. From reading the article at hand, or the monthly publication “New American”, an extremist position is not indicated. What is seen, conversely, is an irrefutably conservative position. Hence, your posting is simply a diversionary and contentious non sequitur designed to provoke, vice a simple statement of your opinion (about which you repeatedly bleat in your defensive response quoted above).
In short, if you have an opinion in future, make it one worth sharing.
You may not like the content of my opinion, and that is your right, but you are in no position to tell me what kind of opinion I may share. My comment was not about the content of the article posted. I provided a gut reaction to the past stances of the organization with regard to race relations. My understanding is that the organization is well known to have been against civil rights for blacks in the last century. If they’ve changed, then I apologize. If not, I stand by my feeling that it’s sad to see someone post from that organization on FR.
