I would rather see an activist anti-American company that deals in the business of ideas fail before a company that actually recognizes the gift of being American. I’m not “fretting” or “phased” by the NYT dying, I’m hoping it does and will not apologize for that wish.

My comment was not directed at you or the NY Times in specific. Was directed in general at the fretting people do about the prospects of Company A, B, C, or D going out of business.

While the NY Times going out of business would be an event to relish in many ways, it would be incomplete and disappointing if it did not also cause Pinch to be put in the street, begging for his next meal.

Murdoch purchasing it and purging current management and staff would be a wonderful site to behold.
