Pelosi Power: California Rises

Forget Illinois: California is poised to be the top dog in Obama-era Washington.

With roughly a half-dozen Cabinet and key administrative appointees and a powerhouse congressional delegation led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, California is shaping up to be the new Texas, the alpha state whose cultural and policymaking influence was inescapable through most of the last eight years.

President-elect Barack Obama’s energy secretary-designate is Steven Chu, the director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Hilda L. Solis, a Los Angeles-area Democratic congresswoman, was named last week as Obama’s choice for secretary of labor. The Council of Economic Advisers will be chaired by University of California-Berkeley professor Christina Romer; Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Nancy Sutley will head the White House’s Council on Environmental Quality, and Phil Schiliro, a longtime top aide to Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.), will serve as Obama’s chief liaison to Congress.

Kinda makes sense. Go to the hotbed of RADICAL LIBERALISM AND SOCIALISM in America, Taxifornia, to pick your hammer-and-sickle goons and stooges. I think we know what is coming from an Obamunism administration. The names, Romer, Sutley, Schiliro, Waxman, Pelosi --- you call it. Might as well just contract to the CPUSA to run America.....

Since the end of WWII, CA has been the alpha state and the rest of the nation follows our lead, for better or worse. Unfortunately for everyone else, the disaster of the lib legislature in Sacto is now going to be writ large on the national stage.

The ironic part is that if ahnold keeps the backbone he found recently, the momentum may be shifting in CA back to fiscal responsiblity. But, that is a big “if.”

From what I have read the historical and present day D’Alesandro family from Campania and other parts of southern Italy was head of some of the Camorra clans there.

Are we still on that train?????

Yes, but now the radical lib legislature is now trying to get around the two-thirds majority rule to RAISE TAXES by trying to call them FEES which only take a simple majority to pass. These tax-mad, power-mad commies are trying to absolutely DESTROY TAXIFORNIA with all this in the face of a $40 BILLION PROJECTED DEBT that the liberal spenders (that will NOT stop spending) have run up. This is beyond staggering. Clearly we see (been a resident all my life) the end of Taxifornia. It is collapsing and the liberals just keep throwing gasoline ON THE FIRE THEY STARTED.

They have no concept of how to run a state, except INTO THE GROUND. Well the voters got what they wanted. A bunch of spend-crazy commies who care NOTHING about what is left of the state.

“We were once regarded as kind of out there and too soft and too green.

Californians have done such a wonderful job of bankrupting their state (financially, morally, educationally, politically, etc.), and now they are going to do the same for the rest of the country.
