A lightening store started to move ashore starting at 5:30 AM and we are now having heavy rain. We only had a 1/2 inch in the past 24 hours but we will exceed that in a couple of hours now. But that's normal for Humboldt bay. We are short nearly 6 inches of rain since July 1...
I finally dumped the rain guage yesterday, had a little over an inch in it from the last 10 days of moisture rolling thru here.
6 inches short for the year.. wow, for there, that’s quite a drop.
