Exactly what I was thinking. What gets me about this thread is that I fear that Free Republic is turning into the 2009 version of the Democratic Underground.
For criminy sakes, let's not spend the next two years looking for a conspiracy in every word and deed the man does. All that will accomplish is marginalizing the entire Conservative movement to the point that Obama-lini could end up with VETO-PROOF majorities in Congress & the Senate in 2011.
????? He's already got majorities on his side, doesn't matter if they are veto proof or not. He'll sign anything they pass. Especially gun control, higher taxes on the rich, Universal Free Health Care, and multitudes of new environmental laws.
Or do you mean "filibuster proof"? That doesn't matter in the House, where the rules don't work that way. In Senate, he's close enough to being filibuster proof (only 1 or 2 votes shy, depending on how Minnesota comes out) that on any given issue, enough of the RINOs or Independents will vote for cloture and they'll have their way (with us!).
