“DOES ANYONE AT FR have any true explanation as to why Norm Coleman might not have lost this election for good?”
As of 4:57 p.m. EST, the number of adjudicated challeged ballots is 847 for Coleman challenges, vs 471 for Franken. Franken leads by 249, but its only a temporary situation. Most of the challenges are being tossed back to the original recipient of the vote. Please note there have been frivolous challenges on both sides.
With this in mind, when the board resumes looking at Frankens challenges, Coleman will start racking up votes again.
There are more than 5,400 challenged votes to go, so this is going swings back-and-forth until it’s finished.
I was aggravated when I saw Franken taking the lead, too, but watching the process unfold helps it make sense. I believe that’s why the GOP is not saying anything YET, because the process is still a ways from being complete. There are still questions to be answered but for now, I think they’re letting the process play out first.
Hope that helps.
