>>Spending cold hard cash to read about a communist who has his lips pressed tightly to the MSMs rear end is not my style.<<
I don’t want to spend that much either, but I’ll pick up a used copy somewhere. The Obama “lovers” will probably hate the book. Also, I don’t have to convince you that the MSM is one of O’s minions, but others who read the book with an open mind may learn something.
They don’t call the rino party the stupid party for nothing.
Before I read your post, I probably would not have said that I agree that both parties now have the same goals, or agenda.
<>p>But you make an excellent point. It’s apparent that the Democrats are more skilled, more motivated, and more professional in moving the broad shared agenda forward ... their way.
I don’t regret for one minute NOT voting for McCain.
Fact of the matter is, had McCain won...YOU and plenty of other Freepers would have WILLINGLY accepted whatever he dished out and the rest of us would have spent the next four years being berated for opposing him.
I cared enough to prevent ‘this’ by working my azz off to defeat McCains S2611 and if you think for one minute he deserved my vote, you, my friend, are sadly mistaken. So unite against ALL enemies to protect the sovereignty and security of our country or get out of the way.
“I fully expect John McCain to come out and congratulate Obama on the appointment...”...
Heck...it was probably HIS idea....or Bush’s.
Then, the bitching about the results of the election have to stop. McCain was never my candidate, but he sure would have been better than what we know face. Complaining at this late date is fruitless. Had we voted McCain in, we might have had some say in his agenda. We have to choice now. And we might have made some gains in Congress, but no way now. We might have had some sway in Supreme Court picks, but not now. But, you on your purist high horse didn't vote for McCain. Well congratulations, you got your wish. Now deal with and quit complaining about the results.
No, Kimberly GG was not wishing for an open borders POTUS. Since you feel so strongly about McCain, maybe we should say you got your wish, a POTUS who will do his damndest to destroy our sovereignty via open borders, and McCain will try to help. Bush would like to "help" too, but I don't think Obama wants Bush stumping for amnesty.
I voted for McCain/Palin in the desperate hope that Palin could take over at some point. I also was very concerned that Obama will keep his promise about stopping weapons research, but I do respect Kimberly GG and others who could not in good conscience vote for McC.
I believe the accepted excuse for sitting this election out went something like this: "If we allow a really liberal administration take control, why then the country will automatically vote for a very conservative person the next time around." That is in fact wishing for open borders and every other possible liberal program to be implemented.
>>If we allow a really liberal administration take control<<
That was pretty much going to happen no matter who won.
>>That is in fact wishing for open borders and every other possible liberal program to be implemented.<<
What your boy McCain wanted also would lead to disaster: Total Dem (or worse) control of government via amnesty. In fact, neither major party had a decent POTUS candidate.
>>That is in fact wishing for open borders and every other possible liberal program to be implemented.<<
Sophistry. It would be just as “valid” to say that you and I (in my case very very reluctantly) voted for amnesty, since we voted for McCain.
As long as the R party nominates McCain-types they will lose. I have had it with GWB Republicans. I voted for Bush 4 times.
McCain was my last choice, I only voted for him to try and prevent the Obama administration because I felt it was the only choice available. I would have liked a real choice, but I was not given any other possible option, so I had to vote for McCain.
Dora the Explorer
Actually, I think you’d be hard pressed to find a single post by me whining or complaining about the election results. As far as I’m concerned, the outcome, as it relates to the agenda of each candidate on this issue, would have been the same, regardless of who one and so I voted for the only proven candidate.
If you consider the issue of pro-effective border security/enforcement of our current immigration laws, etc., as ‘purist high horse’, then so be it...but know this...if we lose the WOT in our own backyards, nothing else matters.
Good thing I had the foresight to stock up on some goverment cheese before the election for the whino’s, uhhh I mean whiners...;-)
What would you think if someone(s) were to announce that the conservatice movement was no longer associated with the Republican party???
Because we all know that the Republican party is so moderate now it is hard to have anyone become elected as a Republican unless you are a moderate or RINO...
There are a few exceptions right now, but they are so diffused in their position in the party its hard to see them thru the muck of moderation...
“What would you think if someone(s) were to announce that the conservatice movement was no longer associated with the Republican party???”
All that’s lacking is the announcement.......
I reluctantly gave him my vote too. Thing is, he’d would do the same thing. We were screwed anyway you want to look at it.

Yep - the way I saw it, we had two choices: Slow or fast. I chose slow, but the majority chose fast.
Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
lol...I used to say that too. Now I say "Screw the seat belts, load the guns"
LOL and true as hell.
Me too. I voted for Hunter in the primary. As I said, after Obama promised to stop weapons research and McCain picked Palin, I decided to vote for McC instead of writing in a name in the general election.
thank you dddfd ;)
