ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The tight Minnesota U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and Democratic challenger Al Franken has become incredibly close -- with Coleman clinging to a two-vote lead.

That's the latest tally after the state Canvassing Board spent a third day ruling on disputed ballots. There are hundreds of challenges yet to decide, as well as thousands of withdrawn challenges that have yet to be tallied.

Coleman had entered Thursday's session leading Franken by 360 votes. But that lead eroded all day as the board considered a pile of challenges brought entirely by the Coleman campaign. The pile included a big chunk of withdrawn challenges, many of which went quickly to Franken's column.

I understand about the challenges, but they haven't counted the withdrawn challenges yet?

As soon as the RATS get to one vote more than Coleman, they will declare victory and this will end.

Franken is a clown, and it is scary that the Congress will be even more goofy than it already is,,,UNBELIEVABLE..I am still praying for Coleman to pull it off.

That’s the problem. That little son of a biscuit eater doesn’t have any right to my tax money. To think that stupid sob would wield power over billions of dollars. It aint right.

The Minnie Commies will be able to stop counting once they can get their fag just 3 more “votes.” How hard can that be? Doesn’t anyone have a marker?

Franken and Gore have such “idiotic” ideas that it is scary to think of their access to taxpayer dollars.

Ever get the feeling this will be over as soon as the numbers have Franken by +1

And the dems and msm will declare Coleman and the Reps as sore losers for not immediately graciously conceding.

Look up the gubernatorial election in Washington State in 2004. Three recounts, every one added to the vote totals of the initial loser. They kept adding votes until the Dem won, then it was time for the Republican to “gracefully bow out”. Finished, done, court challenges were no longer accepted after the chosen one was in the lead. I suspect the motives, means and cheating are exactly the same.

What has happened to your country is the American People and the inertia of GWB.

____________________________

I think I’ve edited this to make it more appropriate: What has happened to your country is called, GWB and the democrat created, “Federal Govt Owes Me” American, a growing segment of the population whose desire for nanny care slaps the face of the once proud, independent American spirit.

Any suggestions? Opinion?

Elections in our country now have as much credibility as those in Venezuela or Zimbabwe. The leftist snake has coiled around us, and now it draws tight.

That’s the plan. Keep “counting” until the Democrat wins. This is what they tried in 2000 in Florida.

"Interesting, but what more do you expect from modern day Republicans?"

I agree with you 44%...

I disagree with you 66% because: of the 41 or so "republican" senators; three, spector, collins and snow are no more Reublicans than is Joe Lieberman.

Maybe we're back in 1861, and not 1860. Or 1776 with "King George" as our leader?

Time for change, yeah, Big Time!
